Do you think Joe Louis would have served in Vietnam like he did in WWII if he was still a young boxing champ?

JON, despite the obvious political pressures with activists everywhere, Joe Louis was his own man and loved America. He was raised up from very humble beginnings and was brought up to respect authority. I'm sure that some would have critisized him harshly and put him down while others would have continued to love and respect him as he would have enlisted for military service. Of course he would have been used primarily as an entertainer for the troops doing boxing exhibitions and such. A lot of folks would have had utter contempt for Joe but Joe would have served his country and done so honorably because he was always an honorable man and a true blue American.
