Why do people think that only their country won ww2?

Simple nationalism, dude. It's completely natural for each nation that contributed in the war effort to believe its role was most vital. As for the "macho" perception...I suppose I have to agree. Germanic-Scandinavian (Russian, too.) men tend to think American and British men are weak and effeminate. A bit of a stereotype...but it does have some founding, unfortunately.
