Need help with my Blackberry Bold?

After removing and replacing the battery for my Blackberry Bold to reboot, the red LED light goes on for a few seconds and the clock loading screen proceeds to show for about 7 seconds. After this, it goes black when the rebooting screen should show. For a split second, I can vaguely see the rebooting screen and after a minute or two when it would normally be done rebooting, the red LED light flashes as if I have a message. Clearly the phone is on but the LED screen is just not working right. How can i fix this? Maybe a loose screen connection?? HELP
