What is the truth about England's King Henry VIII?

What a silly notion! He was very clever, there is no doubt of that. But, he was also a believer in the rule of law: very strongly in fact. Granted, as king, he was the law, however, he followed the laws of the land very scrupulously. So, the story is a fantasy; like many strange ideas people have about him, which turn out not to be true.
